The Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday is signed into law by President Reagan in 1983.

PRES. RONALD REAGAN: And while our communication should always deal with current issues of importance, it must never stray far from our national commitment to the battle against discrimination and increase our knowledge of each other.

A few isolated groups in the backwater of American life still hold perverted notions of what America is all about. Recently in some places in the nation, there’s been a disturbing reoccurrence of bigotry and violence. If I may, from the platform of this organization, known for its tolerance, I would like to address a few remarks to those groups who still adhere to senseless racism and religious prejudice, to those individuals who persist in such hateful behavior.

While most in the media continue to focus on a meeting that all parties involved say resulted in no damaging material against Hillary Clinton, there’s little attention being paid to the fact that Hillary’s supporters were able to successfully use a foreign intelligence agent to disseminate false information to the mainstream American press. The phony information allegedly came from inside the Kremlin and sought to damage then-candidate Donald Trump.

Newly-released British court documents show that Fusion GPS, an “oppo firm” funded by Hillary’s supporters, successfully managed to get a former spy to discuss the phony foreign intelligence with The New York Times, The Washington Post, Yahoo News, The New Yorker, Mother Jones and CNN.

Republican businesswoman Lena Epstein announced Monday she will run for U.S. Senate in 2018, saying Michigan is ready for another outsider with business experience after its voters favored Donald Trump in the presidential election.

Epstein’s family owns Vesco Oil Corp., a large distributor of automotive and industrial lubricants based in Southfield. A relative political newcomer who has not held elective office, she was a co-chair of Trump’s Michigan campaign last year and said she will “take the fight directly to” Sen. Debbie Stabenow, 67, a Democrat who is expected to seek a fourth term and who coasted to re-election in 2006 and 2012.

IMG_0737“You’re awake by the way. You’re not having a terrible, terrible dream. Also, you’re not dead and you haven’t gone to hell. This is your life now. This is our election now. This is us. This is our country.” – Rachel Maddow’s reaction to Trump becoming President

When Barack Obama was elected, conservatives didn’t cry like the liberals you see in this HILARIOUS VIDEO. We didn’t need therapy. We didn’t start wailing that he was Hitler or demand safe spaces. Instead, we said, “That sucks. This guy is going to be terrible for the country.” By the way, we were right. He was. But still, we got up and we went to work. Then when the time came, we went to Tea Parties. We obeyed the law at those Tea Parties. We paid for our permits. We were polite to the police. We cleaned up behind ourselves. Then we organized and we took control of the House and the Senate along with the majority of state legislatures and governorships. That’s how it’s supposed to work.

The Michigan Republican Party under the leadership of Ronna Romney McDaniel has done what seemed the impossible by turning Michigan ‘red’ – from 1972 through 1988 the state voted exclusively Republican, before becoming part of the ‘blue wall’ that voted Democratic in six consecutive presidential elections from 1992 through 2012.

Donald Trump is vowing to put “America First.” He delivered that pledge after being sworn in today as the nation’s 45th President at the U.S. Capitol.

Former Escanaba Mayor Judi Schwalbach was one of two Upper Peninsula delegates at the Republican National Convention last summer.

She described the atmosphere in Washington in an interview this afternoon with the Radio Results Network.

“Well, you’re sitting there, and the senators are walking in, and you can’t put words to it,” Schwalbach told RRN News. “You just can’t. And I’m standing here right now and I’ve got tall buildings all around me, and people are just celebrating. Some are protesting, and it’s just what America does every four years that makes us all so proud.”
